About

Meet Shreya

I'm Shreya — a yoga and meditation teacher who believes calm should feel light, not serious. For years I've guided children, teenagers, parents and longtime seekers through the breath and meditation practices of the Art of Living, in schools, homes and retreats.

My promise is simple: every session leaves you with something you can actually use the next morning — a steadier breath, a quieter mind, a little more room to be yourself.

— Shreya

The journey to the self

The Art of Living

Founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living is an educational and humanitarian movement dedicated to stress-free minds and a violence-free society.

Through breath, meditation, yoga and wisdom, its programmes help people of every age find calm, clarity and joy, and reach out in service to others. Its home is the International Center in Bangalore, where the lotus-shaped Vishalakshi Mandap rises above the hills. It is where Shreya grew up, and where so much of this work begins.

Shreya guiding hundreds of schoolgirls in blue uniforms through a breathing practice in a packed hall

On stage

In person and online

Put me in front of a hall full of students and, before long, the whole room is breathing a little easier. I have done this for twenty children and for several thousand, in classrooms, auditoriums and school halls across India and around the world. I speak on whatever a room needs, from exam stress and focus to sleep, parenting and staying joyful under pressure, and everyone leaves with practices they can use the very next morning, not just ideas to think about. A twenty-minute talk or a few days of workshops, in the hall or on a screen, I shape every session around your people rather than my slides.

Why us

Why families choose us

Joyful, never forced

Practices are playful and age-tuned, so children look forward to the mat — and grown-ups rediscover that ease too.

For every age and stage

From wriggly first-timers to seasoned meditators, there is a clear next step for kids, teens, parents and beyond.

Calm that travels home

Simple breath and focus tools that families actually use — before exams, at bedtime, in the middle of a hard day.

Taught with real care

Years of guiding schools, families and retreats with the Art of Living — small groups, full attention, genuine warmth.

What changes

Real success stories

The best measure of this work is what changes afterwards — at home, in the classroom, and within. Read it straight from participants and schools.

What graduates say

My daughter used to dread exam season. After Medha Yoga she actually pauses to breathe before a test — and she sleeps better too. The change at home is real.

Anjali Sharma
Parent, Medha Yoga

Shreya makes the room feel safe. I came in shy and left able to speak in front of the whole group. The breathing is the part I still use every single day.

Rohan Mehta
Teen, YES! Graduate

As a working mother I thought meditation was not for me. The parents workshop changed that. Twenty quiet minutes and I meet my kids in the evening as a calmer person.

Priya Nair
Parent, Breath & Meditation Workshop

I have practised for years, yet Sahaj Samadhi opened a depth I had not touched. Shreya holds the space with such clarity and kindness.

Vikram Desai
Advanced practitioner

Our whole class did Utkarsh Yoga and the difference in focus was visible within weeks. The children were calmer, kinder and more present.
